Going Rogue

I've always considered myself a rebel from the time I turned 16 until I married Steve. Once in a while I feel that little rebellion try to sneak out again, but it doesn't cause too much damage now. I think I've grown up a little. Other times, I wish I could rebel some, but I know how I'm supposed to act.

I love to read, actually, I am addicted to reading. If I get down to one book or less then I have to read old Reader's Digests if I can't get to the library. Actually, thanks to Jackie, I have a current Reader's Digest that I read in between books. When I finally get to the library, I check out 20 or more books. I know I can't possibly read that many in three weeks, however, sometimes I actually do. But when I don't, I know I can renew them.

I just finished reading Sarah Palin's new book, Going Rogue. It is a fantastic read. One part of it gives credit to how Ronald Reagan dealt with recession, "Giving people control over more of the money they've earned: now that's real stimulus. Get federal spending under control, and then step aside and watch this economy roar back to life." I could go on but I want you to read the book, it is fantastic.

I voted for the McCain/Palin ticket and I loved Sarah as soon as heard her. I felt a kinship. Once I read this book, I could not believe what she was put through! She's a better woman than me, I couldn't have done it.

Now I am reading The Chamber by John Grisham. In one chapter Lee took her nephew, Adam, back to the home she lived in when she grew up. She had to go through the house to set aside anything worth saving before it was foreclosed. According to Lee, none of the furniture was worth saving. This was a pretty old house.

I love going through old houses, don't you? I always get that sense that you might find a treasure. Well, anyway, back to real life. It is b e a u t i f u l out! Have a great day, don't waste the sunshine.
