Another Go At It

Stevie, Jadah, and I met Steve at church yesterday. (That way Steve doesn't have to wait around for us afterwards, I normally take Stevie to HyVee to get groceries.) We were 3/4 the way through his shopping list when Heather called asking if I was still in Des Moines.

Without getting graphic, one more event occurred that indicated the baby was on its way. I told here we were almost done, I'd drive them home, then come pick her up. Pato was working in Indianola. It took a short while for Steve to finish, then, of course, Jadah had to go potty.

I finally got them both to Adel and he unloaded groceries, Angie came out and took Jadah from the car so I could leave faster. After picking up Heather and the girls, off we went to Iowa Methodist. Practically all the way in, Alyce kept giggling. We hoped that was a good sign.

I kept an eye on the clock and gave a countdown as to when 'Raymond' would start. Finally it was 10:00 and I turned on the TV and clicked to the correct channel. It wasn't on! Heather reminded me it was Saturday. Man! That is just so wrong!

Well, the nurse came back after calling the doctor, once again Heather had the option of spending the night or going home. She was so frustrated, she cried. The girls were upset because Heather was. Alyce kept saying, "Mommy hut". What a sweetheart.

Today it got up to 40 degrees (yesterday was even warmer). It is so nice compared to the single digits we were having for quite a while. Yesterday it felt almost like Spring. I cannot wait! Looking around at the Elm trees and the Oaks. It will be beautiful here once again.

Hopefully, the next time I write, I'll have another grandson born. Have a great day! Halfmoon

When Will He Come?

Heather predicted that baby number four will be as onery as the other three. She's been to the hospital three times with hard contractions (one to two minutes apart). Of course, I went to be with her so both of us were worn out with all the waiting.

The last time she went, she had fallen to the floor when the chair she was sitting down on decided at that moment to break. This had occurred the day before. Then while laying on the bed, one of the kids decided to hop over her to take a nap with her, lost their balance and fell right on the side of Heather's stomach.

Man, she has no luck (just like me). Of course, the contractions were fast and furious. The hospital ordered an Ultrasound to ensure the baby was ok. Since everything was good, they let Heather go home again.
Jordan was sick (vomiting) two days ago, Kat came down with it yesterday, and today Heather is the lucky (?) recipient of the illness. Alyce is on meds for ear infection, so hopefully she will weather it through without picking up the infection going through their family. Odds are it is a viral infection and she'll get it too.

Heather went to the doctor for her weekly checkup and the doctor anticipates that she'll have the baby within a week. (Heather thought today would be a great day for Christiano's birth and a nice birthday present for Abby.)

Abby's 23 today!!!! Happy Birthday to you! I actually called her yesterday and wished her birthday greetings early so I'd be the first to send them! I should have gotten her a custom promotional product for her birthday.
It's a little warmer out now (close to 40 degrees)! We're supposed to have slightly warmer weather through the weekend. Yay! Hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are! Halfmoon
